Thanks so much for coming along to help with Rudie. Your guidance has made a huge difference with Rudie's behaviour. He is jumping less and walking well. We have bought him a halter like you suggested. Walking with him is actually quite enjoyable and although it will take a while for him to settle down, we are certainly enjoying him more and using the tips you gave us.
