B.A.R.F. Feeding list

You made the decision to feed your dog in a natural way with the B.A.R.F. (Biologically Appropriate Raw Food or Bones And Raw Food) dog diet. I really belief this is the best way to feed our lovable dog. To help you feeding them all the vitamins and minerals they need I composed a list of the entire ingredients for a proper nutrition and varied dog diet.

And don´t be scared of all the different ingredients and don´t thing that you have to feed them all every day. You don´t! Important is to feed varied of different thing within 6 weeks time. Feed 2-4% of your dogs bodyweight. A mix of meat/bones and fruits/vegetable. Add daily different oils and coconut.

You will also find bellow a list of poison food.

Meat:

  • chicken, turkey, emu, all kinds of poultry
  • beef, veal, paunch (unwashed)
  • deer, rabbit, kangaroo
  • goat, lamb
  • horse
  • giblets (max 1 x per week)

Fish:

  • all kinds of fresh and salt water fish
  • seafood

Bones:

  • poultry (necks, back, wings)
  • veal (ribs, shoulder, tail)
  • beef (ribs, osso bucco, tails, breastbones)
  • rabbit, kangaroo
  • horse
  • goat and lamb (necks, shanks)
Fruits:
  • pineapple
  • apple
  • banana
  • strawberries, rasberries, blueberries
  • cherrie
  • kiwi
  • mandarine
  • nektarine, peache, aprikot
  • plum
  • melon, watermelon
  • mango
Vegetables:
  • broccoli, cauliflower
  • fennel
  • all kinds of salad
  • rocket
  • spinach
  • carotts
  • pumpkin
  • corn
  • silver beet
  • sellerie
  • zuccini
  • cucumber
Dairy Products:
  • buttermilk
  • natural yoghurt
  • goats milk
  • cottage cheese
Oils:
  • Olive oil
  • Fish oil
  • Flaxseed oil
  • Canola oil
  • Linseed oil
  • Carotino oil
  • Omega-3-Oil

Herbs:

  • parsley
  • basil
  • sage
  • mint
  • cress

Keep in mind: Don´t use too many herbs, max once a week!

Cereals: (Gluten free cereals) 

  • rice
  • corn
  • cooked potatoes
  • amaranth
  • qinoa
  • pasta left over’s (not often, max once a week)

Others:

  • eggs (max twice a week; blend them up with the shell!)
  • nuts and coconut butter (witch is perfect for worming if you feed it at least 5 x week)
  • rose hip powder
  • alfalfa powder
  • green lip mussel powder
  • spirulina & chlorella
  • aloe vera
  • honey

Poison Food:

  • Pork
  • grapes and grape seed oil and raisins
  • onion (and any kind of onions like leek & chive)
  • chocolate
